Ask us a questionFloodlights are aimed fittings for car parks, yards, signage and sports courts. High bay (round UFO or linear) lights are for warehouses, factories and halls with ceilings of roughly 6 m and above. Street lights and lanterns go on poles along roads and paths.

Light output is measured in lumens. The higher the fitting is mounted, the more lumens you need for the same brightness on the ground. Our product pages list each model's wattage and lumen figure as printed by the maker. For a proper layout, give us the floor area, mounting height and what the space is used for.
Compare lumens, not watts. Datasheets list the lumen output per model.
Outdoor and wash-down areas need a high IP rating. IP65 resists dust and water jets; IP66 resists powerful water jets. In coastal or chemical environments, ask about corrosion-resistant housings.
Outdoors, look for IP65 or IP66.
