  1. The big wattage in a solar light's name is not the same as the light output. Compare lumens and the battery.

  2. A larger panel and battery give longer, brighter nights.

  3. Mount the panel where it gets direct sun for most of the day.

  4. Outdoors, look for IP65 or higher.
